Corspace is a flexible new co-working space currently under development in Crewe. The project plan was to up grade and re-purpose a space into a revenue generating workspace, the target market being Sole Traders SME’s and larger businesses with home or contract workers. The brief was to provide a logo and branding that was modern, professional, credible and aspirational.
The client was looking for an open and welcome tone of voice that demonstrated possibility, opportunity, encouragement, innovation & quality. My main considerations when developing the concepts was to produce a logotype that remained contemporary and stylish but also had longevity. The key to this was simplicity in form. I decided to create a logo which has duel purpose in as much as it could work both as line and within an enclosure. I made breaks in the lettering giving it an architectural quality and I liked the idea of being able to stack the letters on top of each other to reinforce that connotation.
