The key to a successful web site is an arresting image. This is a ‘knockout’ photo that will draw your audience in and coax them into lingering a little longer on your website. If your home page is uninspired, cluttered and hard to navigate, potential clients will click out ‘double quick’.
A great ‘hero’ image will entice visitors in, while the wrong one may drive them away. Although there are some amazing free images available out there, it’s really worth investing in a super impactful one from a library such as i Stock. Paying a few pounds to buy something that resonates with people and draws their interest pays dividends. There are great libraries such as UnSplash that offer free images. You are not under any obligation to credit the photographer but it’s a nice courtesy if you do. You can use the image across other items of marketing collateral which in turn reaffirms your brand image.
